Biography

Tamryn Jacobs commonly known as Shuggah is a multidisciplinary artist from the small art valley Riebeek Kasteel in Cape Town South Africa.

Working within a wide range of mediums and life experiences her roots began in music. 

Her minimalistic and detailed expressive styles almost seem to clash amongst the array of creative outlets as well as the contrasting feelings of dark and moody grunge and alternative metal aesthetics paired with a sleek and almost renaissance opposite in Borouge styling.   

She generally touches on this dualistic nature and leans towards the darker and more taboo elements of our humanistic culture.

Her skill and eye for alternative tastes have led her to experiment with a wide arrangement of mediums of which she continues to explore both within and externally of herself and understandings.
